Holistic Psychotherapy

Does not take the place of traditional medicine. It looks at specific areas of the body from an emotional spiritual and energetic perspective and specializes in the treatment of physical illness and disease, emotional issues, family dynamics, stages of life issues, work related issues, sexual abuse, trauma, addiction from substances food an unwanted behavior, and stress and anxiety. Any patient who currently has been prescribed psychotropic medication for mental health can benefit from holistic psychotherapy.

Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT)

A short-term, goal-oriented treatment that takes a hands-on, practical approach to problem-solving and coping strategies. There are often concrete assignments and homework is given between sessions. CBT is evidence-based, and it is the most widely used approach in mental health treatment. The goal is to change patterns of thinking and behavior that are behind people's difficulties, and so change and help regulate the way they feel.

Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT)

A form of cognitive behavioral therapy, it was initially created for the treatment of borderline personality disorder. DBT has proven to be highly effective in treating several other problems, including intense anxiety, anger, substance abuse, eating disorders and depression. DBT focuses on the concept of mindfulness or being aware of and attentive to the current situation, and teaches skills to manage intense emotions, reduce self-destructive behaviors, and improve relationships.

Play Therapy

A way of being with the child that honors their developmental level and looks for ways of helping in the "language" of the child - play. Play therapy assists with behavioral problems (anger management, grief, divorce, trauma) and behavioral disorders (anxiety, depression, ADHD, autism, academic and social developmental, and conduct disorders).
